“It is absurd to divide people into good and bad. People are either charming or tedious.”
– Oscar Wilde
We live most of our lives based on our values and beliefs, leaning on them as our guiding compass. Our decisions and directions are driven by them in a large part. These beliefs are implanted in us by the age of seven by well meaning care givers and people around us, to keep us out of harms way for our own good and development.
Some of these beliefs are responsible for our SUCCESS ( whatever your personal definition of that may be ) while some limiting beliefs hold us back. The problem is, these beliefs get etched in the deep dungeons of our personality as we become adults. We start identifying with them so strongly that our thinking mind believes that the limiting beliefs are us and we are them…….But, what if those same beliefs come in the way of who we really are ? What if… stay with me here… when we go against those same beliefs to fulfill our true calling, a part of us thinks we are sinning. However, all we are trying to do, is to resonate closest to our own true self. Which part of us is being a saint then ? Is it okay to become a SINNER en route to being a SAINT ? Or vice versa ?
It becomes necessary to question our beliefs periodically to decipher if we are truly living life from a place of Awareness. This, according to me is a key ingredient in the recipe for being a true leader. This in fact is the key to unlock their potential in any individual.
